Note: we are offering U12 and U14 divisions this spring, in place of the former U13 age division.

Each player will be placed on an age-appropriate team according to:
  • UNDER 6 (U6): born after July 31, 2002 (and before August 1, 2004) {4 vs. 4}
  • UNDER 8 (U8): born after July 31, 2000 {4 vs. 4}
  • UNDER 10 (U10): born after July 31, 1998 {8 vs. 8}
  • UNDER 12 (U12): born after July 31, 1996 {8 vs. 8}
  • UNDER 14 (U14): born after July 31, 1994 {11 vs. 11}

Older divisions will be formed only if a sufficient number of players register. Great care is taken to balance the teams with equal numbers of experienced and inexperienced players, with parity between the teams in each age group as an explicit goal to make games both competitive and engaging for all participants.

The foundations of learning to play any sport are that the player must have the opportunity to receive instruction in the sport’s requisite skills and have the opportunity to use those skills in competition. So, at Brunswick house soccer:

  • Each player will receive instruction in age-appropriate individual and team skills;
  • Each player will receive equal playing time in games and positions throughout the season; and
  • Each player will be provided with an opportunity to participate in instructional clinics sponsored by Brunswick Soccer Club.

The registration period for the spring season is January 2 through March 6, 2009. Fees are $75 per player. If you register 4+ players in your family, the 4+ players are free! Fees for registrations after March 6 are $95 per player with no family discounts. Also, your player may be wait-listed if their registration is late. These fees are non-refundable! Why wait, register today!

Scholarships are available – just make note of your request in the ‘comments’ box during the on-line registration process.

All games will be played at our Route 2 complex, across from Tamarac High School.

Note: players currently playing on a travel team are NOT allowed to register for Spring House league soccer, as the seasons conflict.

Only players who went through July tryouts are eligible to register for travel soccer.

Brunswick House Soccer Equipment:

All players need to have cleats (or sneakers), shin guards, soccer socks, and a ball. BSC supplies the uniform T-shirt for House League players.

Sneakers or Cleats? Sneakers are generally fine for players in the Under 6 and Under 8 age groups. The advantage of soccer cleats is that they help players to maintain stability when running and attempting to maneuver on a soft or damp field.

Soccer Balls: Soccer balls come in different sizes.

Under 6s and 8s use a size 3 ball

Under 10s and 13s use a size 4 ball

Under 17s use a size 5 ball

Sewn-seam balls are typically of higher quality and will last longer. It's also good to invest in a small hand-held pump to keep your player's ball properly inflated.

Shin Guards: Players must have shin guards or they will not be allowed to play or practice. Absolutely no exceptions! Shin guards are to be worn inside your player’s soccer socks. Remember, this rule is for the safety of your player. For spring House League soccer, BCS supplies one pair of navy soccer socks with the uniform T-shirt. In the fall, players must provide their own socks.

Shorts: All players should wear black shorts for games.

Inclement weather policy:

We play soccer in the rain. We don't play during thunderstorms. In the unlikely event that house

games are canceled, they will be canceled by the referees at the field at game time.

Please don't call/email your individual coaches asking whether or not the game is canceled.

You need to show up at the complex ready to play, chances are the game is on. Thanks.
